We had the opportunity to go to a get-together
this weekend called Fiesta Guatemala. A very
generous couple in the Grand Rapids area open
their home every year for this fun picnic. It is
for those who have adopted from Guatemala.
This couple have adopted 8 children--**yes 8
international adoptions**--5 being from Guat.
They are amazing people and there were about
50-60 people total there. Among them one of
my dear Bethany Board friends, whom I had never
met, Sara and her son Connor. It was so great to
meet them and snap a photo with them. We also
met up with a couple and their 3 kids whom we had
met in Guatemala while picking Elijah up. They
have adopted two boys from Guat and it was so
great to see their family again. We plan to do this
every year for Elijah. It was tons of fun to see all
these little people just like him For once, our blonde
girls were definetly the minority in the midst of all
these beautiful, dark kids :)

What a great idea, so cool. Plus you got to meet a Bethany buddy, awesome. Love the pictures, he is so darn cute, they all are!
What an awesome event...and how cool that you and Eli got to meet Sara and Connor! They are both such cuties and it's so fun to see them together! I just love that pic of Elijah sunning on the pool deck. He always looks so adorable!
That is SO cute to see those boys together!!! I am crazy jealous that I missed out on that fun! How cool!
