Madelyn and her first youth show!

This week is the annual Missaukee County
Youth Show and Madelyn participated in
a few ways. She entered a plate of Cereal
Cookies which got a blue ribbon. She entered
a loaf of Carrot Pineapple Bread which also
got a blue ribbon---yay!! and she entered
her napkin collection which earned her a
Reserve Best of Show award which is AWESOME!
Her biggest project this year though was raising
a pig named NICOAL. She weighed 220# and
Madelyn got to show her yesterday two times.
One for market hog where they judge how the
pig looks and 2nd for showmanship, where they
judge how well Madelyn can control her pig.
She did really well in both classes. We
are proud of her. This Thursday evening is the
livestock sale where she will sell her pig. It has
been a great experience for her and she loves it.
